Lecture and Prix Molière at the 3e Sommet de la MicroFrancophonie in Blaye
At the end of August, the 3rd summit of the MicroFrancophonie took place from 26 to 28 August 2022 on the French Atlantic coast in the Principauté d’Hélianthis, situated in Blaye (see here for more information on the event). On the one hand, this meeting serves to deepen the acquaintance and exchange between the French-speaking micronations. On the other hand, important micronational topics are discussed here and impulses from science are integrated. In this context, Sandra Petermann was invited as a speaker for a lecture entitled “Micronations. Réflexions sur la Pertinence des nations au sein d’une nation Micronations” (“Micronations. Reflections on the Relevance of Nations within a Nation”). During the evening state banquet, she was awarded the Prix Molière for her long-standing academic commitment to the study of Francophone micronationalism. What an honour and what a pleasure! Fortunately, apart from the official programme, there was still some time to visit the beautiful Principauté, which aims to promote the rich heritage of the Blaye region, its gastronomy, its history, its monuments and its landscapes (see here for more information on the Principality of Hélianthis).
